Training Pastors in Pakistan · By Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, Founding President, Good Samaritan Ministries · October 2026
The Church in Pakistan is growing. New congregations are being planted in towns and villages, house fellowships are multiplying, and young believers are hungry to know God’s Word. But every growing church faces the same question: who will shepherd these people?
Why do trained pastors matter so much in Pakistan?
In many places in Pakistan, a single pastor serves several congregations, travelling between villages by motorbike or on foot. Many faithful pastors have never had the opportunity to study the Bible in depth. They love the Lord and they love their people, but they have had little teaching in Scripture, doctrine, preaching or pastoral care.
A trained pastor changes a whole community. He can teach the Bible faithfully, guard his people from false teaching, counsel families in hard times, raise up new leaders and plant new churches. The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Training leaders is how the Church multiplies.
Revelation Bible College: free theological education in Pakistan
Revelation Bible College & Seminary was established in Lahore in 2018, with one purpose: “Equipping leaders to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in Pakistan and beyond.” Its motto is simple: Know God. Make Him Known.
Theological education is often out of reach for Christians in Pakistan because of the cost. Revelation Bible College is different: its education is completely free. No pastor, evangelist or student is turned away because they cannot pay.
The college offers seven programmes, from certificate to doctorate, including:
- Certificate in Christian Ministry
- Bachelor of Theology
- Master of Theology
- Master of Divinity
- Doctor of Ministry
Students study the Bible, theology, church history, preaching, pastoral ministry and evangelism, taught by faculty who serve the Church in Pakistan themselves.
Now online: a Bible college in every pastor’s pocket
On 18 September 2026, Revelation Bible College opened its online Bible college through Gospel Campus, a learning platform built for theological colleges. For the first time, a pastor in a distant village, a young woman in Karachi or an evangelist travelling between churches can study for a theological qualification from their own phone, without leaving their ministry or their family.
The response has been remarkable. In less than two months, 128 students have enrolled online and are studying God’s Word. Every week new students join from different parts of Pakistan.
Online study removes the barriers that kept so many from training: the cost of travel, the time away from home and church, and the cost of fees. Students learn at their own pace, sit their assessments online, and remain in their churches while they study, putting into practice what they learn each week.
The fruit of trained leaders
Revelation Bible College is part of the wider work of Good Samaritan Ministries. Its graduates lead churches planted through church planting in Pakistan, teach at Christian schools, preach at Gospel crusades and carry free Urdu Bibles to families who have never owned one. When a pastor is trained, a congregation is strengthened, and when a congregation is strengthened, a whole village hears the Good News.
