Clotes Distribution
Our country is blessed with four seasons. We have plenty flowers in spring season from February to end of March. We have hot summer season from April to September, and fall season from mid of September to end of November. Then starts cold winter season. All the seasons do effect our daily life activities and personality of life. Winter is always cruel and we need warm clothes in this season. If we look at our country’s economy, it has fallen a lot and recession has made the purchase power of every person even lower.
In our Christian community, people are very low paid as they are illiterate and they don’t have powerful source of income. This causes so many difficulties for them. Everything is costly but warm clothes in winter season are way out of reach of poor people and especially from our Christian community. The price of a warm coat can reach up to $100 USD, which is the more than of the average income of one person for a month. Even second-hand used clothes are also very costly and are difficult to purchase for poor Christian families.
GSM feels the physical needs of our Christian community and decided to distribute warm clothes to our families in Pakistan. We have reached so many families since we started our ministry with warm clothes, we felt the need and try to comfort our brothers and sisters and children in winter season.
It is very difficult to buy clothes for hundreds of people but we try to reach as many families as we can during our distribution events. You can see the pictures in our gallery. This event comes once in a year and we receive applications of the needed families from our pastors and evangelists from different areas. Then we go through the applications and see the needs of the families and purchase warm clothes according to the needs. We are doing all this with help of prayers and financial support of our friends like you.
