Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education is a very important in our society, we have 58% literacy rate these days and people have started to get education, but if we go back 20 years in past we will come to know that our literacy rate was only 23%, so those who were in their childhood 20 years back they are unable to read and write, so it is very difficult for them to even read Bible, being the head of the family it is their moral duty to read Bible daily in their home and give their children a pure Christian environment where the family members can be strong in their Christian faith, but those who don’t know how to read and write fail to do so. GSM understand the importance of the Adult Basic Education and we have started a School for the Adult Basic Education where women and men can come and start learning to read and write. Our teachers try their best to educate these adult people so they may be enabling to read Bible. We have started with one school of Adult Basic Education and have aim to spread this to many areas and places, we also allow Non-Christian adults to come and learn how to read and write so they can also know Lord as we use Christian Material for teaching purpose and use stories and examples from Bible.
As mentioned above GSM wants to spread the network of the Adult Basic Education Schools throughout the country, it is very important that we have enough sources to do so, currently we have many applications from our pastors and evangelist to start Adult Basic Education school in their area, I request you to pray this project so we can enable people of Pakistan to read and write and in this way we teach them about Jesus Christ and life of Jesus Christ.
